Novice
Our novice writers construct 4-5 paragraph essays, develop a solid reading vocabulary, and learn the fundamentals of public speaking
Intermediate
Our intermediate writers construct 5 paragraph essays, develop an advanced vocabulary, and learn advanced public speaking techniques.
Proficient
Our proficient writers construct advanced analytical essays, are tested on SAT-level vocabulary, and master public speaking.

Literature Programs 2022-2023
Lit 100: The Basics of Understanding Literature (Intermediate)
This 12-week course is perfect for students wanting to delve into the exciting world of literature. Students will critically read, analyze, discuss, and write about a few literary works, including a novel study of C.S. Lewis's The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Students will also learn note-taking and developed their vocabulary and grammar skills.

Lit 200: The Basics of Literary Analysis (Intermediate - Proficient)
This 12-week course is ideal for students wanting to master literary analysis. Students will critically examine a few literary works (including a novel study of John Steinbeck's The Pearl) and learn to write an analytical literary essay.
Grades 7-10.
Lit 300: Unravelling Shakespeare Proficient
This 25-week course is perfect for students preparing for higher-level English classes. Students will critically analyze Shakespeare's works and learn to write an extended literary essay. Grades 8-11.

While the Quills and Quotes program is enriched and rigorous, it is a program for all students. After a written assessment, students are placed in classes according to their writing level. Our teachers are there to help with any struggles. Our goal is for this program to be available to all students willing to dedicate the time and effort required to improve their communication skills. We want to build the leaders of tomorrow, and we believe that starts with a commitment to higher education.
